Toadhall Rooms

I almost didn't want to review this place because it is like a secret bit of magic that you want to keep for yourself! Feels like a home. Wonderful owner, great family style breakfast, beautiful property with exotic birds, soaring cliffs, and spectacular views of the ocean. If you like off the beaten path experiences, then spend some time here. Close to Stonehaven and Dunnotar Castle.

Angela and Alistair were extremely friendly and helpful. We immediately felt welcome and were also greeted by several peacocks in the garden in front of our accommodation. The accommodation had a lot of charm and was lovingly furnished. The 5 minute walk to the cliffs was our highlight. We saw seals and even a group of dolphins.

Visited the UK for 2 weeks and had 14 different b & b’s but this was our absolute favourite! The rooms were truly lovely, but Angie and Allie were what made it so excellent! You should have seen our shocked expressions as we pulled over the mill bridge... it’s a lovely place and the photos online don’t do it justice. The geese, the seaside wildflower filled cliffs, our new friends... we would go back to Scotland just to stay with them again!

Loved it! Will go back 100% for longer! Everything was great, it’s peaceful, 5 minutes stroll from a very nice empty beach! The window next to the bed looks out at a tiny waterfall. There are peacocks and chickens and geese and rabbits running around the birds say hi at your door and your window. It’s the perfect place to hideaway! Angela was so nice and helpful, gave me the best tips of places to go (I got to see puffins!) and Angela was kind enough to post my dress back that I forgot in the wardrobe.

Lovely location...Friendly welcoming owner... beautiful relaxing accommodation...Good chat and a fantastic breakfast....Highly recommend...I'll be back...
